But this is another family, where the father is sick and so he can’t go out to work to help the mother to earn a living. The mother is the key earner by daily labor to support the family. The labor also is not regular, it is seasonal. Starvation is imminent when rains and or drought are extensive. Mariamma is now 4th class.
